Farewelling Bazza – Our Original Therapy Dog

Main Content

After a decade of putting smiles on the faces of hundreds of children through our Kites program, our original therapy dog Bazza is hanging up his working paws.

Bazza has been a critical part of the Kites team since 2016, providing support, a friendly face, a guiding nose and a calming presence for countless young Kites clients who have passed through our doors.

From his earliest days in the program, Bazza was known for his relaxed demeanour and his senstive and gentle nature – immediately putting the children at ease and letting them focus on their skills development.

Our specially trained therapy dogs are an integral part of our therapy offering and we remain one of the only organisations in WA to offer this as part of our suite of services.

Bazza has helped hundreds of children improve their communication skills, both their gross and fine motor skill development, self care, turn taking and self regulation.

Bazza will deliver his final therapy session on Tuesday August 18 following his 10th birthday celebration the day before.

Luckily for all of our Kites clients, his colleagues Onyx, Myrtle and Hillman are ready and waiting to welcome you and look forward to working with you and your families towards achieving your therapy goals.

Thank you Bazza for a decade of loyal service, the whole Everability team wishes you all of the balls, naps and treats that a happy retirement entails.
