Dietitians help kids achieve optimal health and growth outcomes.
Our dietitian can:
- discuss your child’s nutritional needs
- provide ongoing assessment
- deliver education and advice on nutrition.
They can also discuss any modifications that may be recommended for optimal nutritional management.
During a consultation, the dietitian will assess your child and work with you to develop a nutrition plan. With your permission, we’ll plan follow-up appointments and keep in close contact with medical and other allied health professionals to help achieve the best outcomes for your child and your family.
Dietitians use nutritional assessment and their knowledge of physiology and the impact of health conditions on nutrient digestion, absorption and metabolism.
They have expertise in dietary management to identify nutritional issues, and monitor food intake and eating behaviours to optimise nutrition.
Kites dietitians are Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) and Accredited Nutritionists (AN) and hold membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (link opens in new tab).
We have a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and family-centred care.
